E-commerce
Berlin, Germany-based Productsup found itself as one of many players needing to stand out in the complex environment of commerce feed management as manufacturers, brands, retailers and service providers juggle countless commerce processes. It’s a daily struggle to manage the most complex paths between products and consumers the world has ever seen.
Working with Categorical, differentiation for Productsup started with the emergence of a new Category Point of View: In the current world of commerce anarchy, of fractured customer and partner relationships, brand damage, and revenue loss, the challenge was to deliver a unified customer experience across all product touch points. To manage a new concept – the product information value chain.
This challenge was answered through the design of the P2C (Product-to-Consumer) Category and blueprint for a platform providing a framework used by all commerce businesses to streamline how their product data reaches buyers.
P2C condenses commerce systems into a single management view – no matter what the product or buyer. This provides businesses with full control over all of their product data as it’s routed through endless channels across the commerce ecosystem – managing all product content journeys, while fostering connections between brands, retailers, marketplaces, social media networks and their consumers.
Through fresh engagement with analysts houses Productsup’s competitors soon found they had been re-Categorised as being part of the P2C ecosystem in Constellation research’s `Big Ideas` White paper and other reports.
Subsequently Productsup announced a Series B funding round for more than $70 million (€65 million) led by Bregal Milestone, a leading European technology growth capital firm, with participation from its existing investor, Nordwind Capital. It has since gone on to acquire World of Content, a ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands-based product experience management provider and bring into the P2C fold and focussed on further building the P2C ecosystem by joining Informatica’s ecosystem of independent software vendors for Category expansion and to increase its market reach to global cloud-based enterprises.
Productsup and the strategic P2C Category is now trusted by over 1000 industry leaders worldwide including Aldi, Biersdorf, Thule and L’Oreal.
